I GOT INTO BUTT NUMB A THON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is: "a 24 hour film annual celebration programmed by Harry Knowles
(of Ain't it Cool News) of upcoming films and films from the past, attended by a hand picked group of film lovers, half from the Austin and Central Texas area...and the other half from around the country and world."
There is a mix of new/exclusive premieres (last year they had Shutter Island, Kick-Ass, and Avatar before their release dates; also Pan's Labyrinth before it came out) and old cult classics (Plan 9 From Outer Space was I believe the first movie they ever played). Typically thousands of people apply (idk the exact numbers) for the 200 or so seats in the Alamo Drafthouse.
WAIT WHERE DID MY CAPS GO I NEED THEM TO ACCURATELY EXPRESS MY EMOTIONS RN
